The role

The role is for a Business Process Analyst (BPA) who has a solid background in Customer Services and Products development for Business Centres.

The Business Process Analyst is a critical role in our IT delivery. In most cases the requirements involve interfacing with multiple systems.

These may require a coordinated integration design or similar requirement deployed independently across more than one application.

It all starts with an approved idea , as a Business Process Analyst you will be responsible for reviewing, analysing and evaluating business needs and converting those ideas into clear well though set of requirements that a Designer, Developer or System Integrator can turn into specific work packages.

Performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, defining scope and objectives and bridging any gap between the business, technical and testing teams, in close collaboration with the IT Project Manager, are also responsibilities of the BPA role.

Main requirements

What you’ll need to succeed

Deep understanding of system capabilities, limitations and the ability to write requirements to support business / end-user use cases

Ideal candidates will demonstrate taking initiative and ownership to see items through to completion

Experience working in a global and multi-cultural environment and have appetite for fast-paced organizations

Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with Sr. Level Business and IT Mangers / Executives

Role and responsibilities

Drive identification of requirements across business units, collaborate with IT PM and key stakeholders to determine the service / product scope

Build and evaluate business processes, carry out analysis of present processes and identify opportunities to enhance them

Prepare process models, diagrams and workflow charts by studying systems capabilities, and analyse and verify requirements for completeness, consistency and feasibility

Translate conceptual requirements into functional requirements and detailed user stories

Involve stakeholders and get approvals on the documentation

Maintain deep system and business knowledge

Achieve high quality standards for specifications

Work with PMs and System Owners to agree start and end dates for your deliverables

Attend and contribute to Scrum, estimation and solution design sessions

Sign off at UAT and final testing certificates

Maintain all documentation and workflows in JIRA

Support post go live issues management and escalations (via support team)

Escalate if issues can’t be resolved within teams / programme office

Be prepared for unplanned accelerated requirements. They may come in sponsored by Executives and require fast responses

Ensure knowledge can be replicated, transferred to other team members

General Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • University degree (technical or business related)
  • 4 years Business Analyst experience; Consulting experience is highly appreciated
  • Demonstrate Business Analyst training and certifications
  • Understanding of Software Development, System design, Digital, Web, Mobile, UX standards, solutioning and specification
  • Excellent English listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working in a distributed team (virtual) environment
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio
  • Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely to define solution
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insight
  • Experience working with Executive and C-Level Management
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively simplify and communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial tech-start-up’ team culture
  • Experience of working in a global and multi-cultural environment and have appetite for fast-paced organizations with global delivery / reach
  • Dynamic working approach, agile’ rapid delivery approach to planning projects, and the ability to think innovatively to solve problems
  • Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with customers and teams
