Essential requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering or Computer Science w / embedded emphasis;

Solid understanding of computer programming and software development;

High level numeracy skills and understanding of scientific principles;

Experienced with Structured Query Language and database design;

Experience in developing software tools with Lua, C# and Matlab;

Experienced Word, Excel and Outlook user and knowledge of networking principles;

Ability to understand mechanical and electrical principles and the application and effects of these on production processes and key product features;

Strong analytical / technical skills;

Strong attention to detail;

A desire to continually upgrade technical knowledge;

Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic industrial environment;

Willingness to Travel on frequent basis for training at other BorgWarner locations or suppliers;

English level advanced.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

Continuous improvement of the hardware and software used for manufacturing processes, balancing commercial requirements with customer needs;

Analysis of large quantities of production data in an operational environment to monitor product and equipment performance;

Design and development of SQL, C# and MatLab software tools to facilitate data analysis and enabling management and production users to interact with complex data structures;

Development of manufacturing processes including the creation of process documentation, product and process risk assessments, maintenance procedures and training documentation;

Collaborate with process engineer to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical breakdowns and implement long term solutions and permanent improvements.
