The following activities would be part of your job :

Develop a strategy the team will use to reach its goal

Manage a team of up to 10 finance professionals

Analyze and strategize task to be assigned among members ensuring business continuity

Monitor Team Performance and conduct regular appraisals

Manage Training and Development of Team Members

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key clients

Resolve conflict and assist others as required

Manage the flow of day to day operations

Communicate clear instructions to team members

Handle escalations sent by local offices

Provide leadership in the creation and distribution of standard General Ledger reports

Maintain accountability for the standard chart of accounts and preparation of account analysis / reconciliations on a timely basis

Coordinate and execute the periodic close of general ledger which includes maintaining the close schedule, scheduling of subsystem feeds, making materiality

decision on close entries and communicating to customers when the monthly trial balance is finalized

Foster a customer-focused working environment, with clear responsibilities and expectations for team members

Identify and present solutions for process improvements.

Job Requirements

University degree in economics or comparable

3+ years of related professional accounting experience

English advanced language skills required

German or French language skills is beneficial

Proficient in using SAP preferred

Positive attitude to work as a business service partner
