As the regional export control officer for the EU and India, you're responsible for.
Provide Export Control Advice, Guidance, and Oversight to NXP sites within the EU and India;
Support with implementing the regional export controls and sanctions requirements per the NXP Corporate export control policy, framework, and export control procedures;
Monitor regional export control developments and ensure regulatory watch in your region;
Be the first point of contact for the government in case of license review, audits, etc.;
Help improve, update and implement NXPs Corporate export control program (in your region) by translating it and giving practical advice / guidance to the business for its implementation, including training;
Support the NXP export control classification process, which includes our complete semiconductor portfolio, including finished goods, semi-finished goods, equipment, tools, raw materials, technology, and software, as well as non-production items per EU, US, and other applicable regional regulations where applicable;
Support in developing and implementing continuous improvement actions to address any issues arising from investigations, disclosures, governmental visits, audits, and identified deficiencies;
Participate in business meetings and M&A activities to identify and discuss export control requirements and risks;
Support local Export Control Liaisons (team meetings, business support, etc.) and work closely with other trade compliance teams.
You have completed your bachelor’s or master’s education;
Have 3-7 years of relevant working experience;
You have deep core competence in US and EU export control and sanctions regulations;
You are willing to developpe the skills needed to understand and drive NXP's Indian export controls program;
You are eager to get knowledge of the semiconductor industry, sufficient to understand technical characteristics;
You know how to engage with Engineering and Program Managers regarding Export Controls Classification (ECCN) and jurisdiction determination;
You have knowledge of and experience with the global manufacturing industry.
You have experience with project management and stakeholder management;
You have excellent communication skills in the English language, both in writing and speaking;
Proven or prior experience with Export Controls requirements for software is a plus.
