The Business & Sales Operations (BSO) group is the business center of excellence for cross-business execution performance, planning and subsidiary operations.
The team helps scale execution and drives clear business and market insights that result in Microsoft achieving its business objectives
Drive Execution & Resource Management : Area marketing budget management across all regional and local execution teams, in line with planning decisions, financial rules requirements and marketing compliance.
Drive process simplification without compromising outcomes.
Oversee yearly marketing budget set up in tools in line with FY Planning sign off and support overall planning process from marketing budget allocation perspective
Roll out at Area and Sub level clear processes on quarterly marketing commitment cut off and budget redeployments
Process owner on Marketing budget forecast incorporated in Finance P / L reporting, as well as ensuring landing marketing spent within forecast (ie : support forecast accuracy through cut off and redeployment processes)
Work closely with Finance to monitor the spending during the finance monthly closing process and ensure proper adjustments and corrections are reflected from Finance reporting perspective
Roll-out and update on CEE Marketing Budget Management Playbook (which includes the fiscal year rules and guidelines for using Marketing budget management)
Ensure marketing execution owners are well aligned and informed on the internal processes and tools (through clear regular communication and Office Hours calls)
Support marketing execution owners on specific cases related to marketing spent treatment in alignment with Finance / C&C / Procurement rules
Work with Finance Investment controller to properly reflect from operational perspective additional marketing budgets granted throughout the year
Deliver Business Performance Insight : Work across the Subsidiary / Area to standardize, simplify, rationalize, and organize reporting to improve local execution by driving analysis and insights to advise the BSO and M&O leader of execution insights.
Ensure relevant reporting on marketing spent is available to marketing budget owners (adopt available reporting from CORP, support the field roll out, ensure proper escalations and feedback are addressed to Support teams in respect of available standardized reporting)
Build and maintain a layer of reporting on marketing spent to support process coordination and decision making by Area team
Surface on a regular basis insights in terms of budget commitments against the Plan and budget availability to ensure agility in resource decisions at Area level
Management of outsourced services team that support marketing roles in procurement process or operational marketing budget set-up.
Ensure management of outsourced Marketing Budget Desk service for budget tool (MBP) maintenance (including monitoring service roll out and adoption in our Region)
Ensure management of outsourced Marketing PO Desk service for marketing PO creation
Team responsibilities, learning, and development
Contribute to Area team and BPM Community success and capability building, support with onboarding new hires, bring forward innovative ideas and practices on how to better achieve BPM role and responsibilities
3-5 years related experience
Experience and deep knowledge within Finance and Business / Budget Planning
Executive exposure and cross-functional stakeholder management
Focus on providing process optimization by understanding the desired business outcome
Deliver end-to-end deep data analysis and actionable strategic insights
History of driving operational discipline as well as innovation
Skills & Knowledge :
Ability to work and build strong relationships with senior managers (required)
Must have proven skills in financial, marketing, and IT management
Advanced oral and written communication skills, planning and organizational abilities
Intermediate conflict resolution and negotiation skills (required)
Must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and negotiate and collaborate effectively
Must be highly analytical, able to understand business metrics, customer and market trends
