The Systems Development Group (SDG) is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our customer-facing product reference designs team that supports a broad range of industry-leading high-performance linear solutions and standard products in end applications such as industrial automation, instrumentation, automotive, healthcare and communication systems.
The Applications Engineer is responsible for contributing to the development of system-level applications and documentation for our products.
As part of a cross-functional team, the Applications Development Engineer performs definition, development, implementation, and documentation of the system-level applications, interacts with the development teams to get a deep understanding of how the designs work, proposes ways to improve the designs to match customers’ expectations and provides technical support for our global customers.
Responsibilities include :
Work in close collaboration with the development and marketing teams to support new applications.
Writing and publishing collateral such as Application Notes, Tech Briefs, Technical Articles, etc.
Provide customer support through the ADI Engineer Zone forum, webinars, seminars, and customer visits
Technical customer visits, to help them resolve designs issues.
Evangelize our products to universities across the world.
Manage and coordinate multiple projects that run simultaneously. Update presentation material in Hyperion
Put requests and gather information for product pages on Analog.com
Collect or schedule development of marketing collateral
Ensure that collateral like schematics, pictures, sw, and drivers are available on web
Help create Out of box videos for solutions
Contribute and develop Articles for the Circuit and other publications
Work with corporate marketing teams to deliver developed content
Work with distribution on training, collateral, and support
Essential Skills and Competencies :
BS / MS in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Science (CS) with relevant experience in the design, implementation, and support of embedded systems.
Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong understanding of embedded processor and hardware architectures.
Demonstrated understanding with a variety of software development languages, including but not limited to C, C++, Python, MATLAB
Collaborate with European, US, China, and Philippines based hardware and software developers; provide project updates, and write functional and technical documents.
Have the ability to work independently and in a team to collaborate and deploy innovative solutions.
Must have knowledge and understanding of mixed signal systems implementations.
Good understanding of analog and digital circuit design and debugging experience.
Experience with SCM (svn, git), cross compiler and in-circuit debugging tools.
Ability to comprehend large and complex technical documentation bases quickly.
Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems
