Long Term Profitable Growth
Support the negotiation and agreement of contracts, and variations thereto, on a timely basis to the mutual satisfaction of both parties :
Support the sales team with deal shaping and client negotiation, including but not limited to : (i) commercial model definition (GMP, fixed, cost-plus, savings glidepath, guarantees etc);
ii) challenging the solution and pricing assumptions; (iii) payment mechanisms; and (iv) other key contract terms.
Support the contract negotiation and document control process, working closely with CBRE legal teams.
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Comply with the GWS sales governance process and contracting standards and policies.
Deliver In-Year Financial Objectives on Account
Support the management of contracts to minimize risk and develop and realize opportunities on account :
Report, understand and help to manage risks and opportunities to optimize in-year financial objectives, working closely with CBRE finance teams.
Support resolution of client issues, claims and disputes by developing and agreeing innovative commercial solutions.
Build key customer contacts to strengthen CBRE’s position in the development of long term customer relationships.
Communicate key client commercial terms to enable flow down risk and terms to supply chain, working closely with CBRE sourcing teams.
Facilitate flow down MSA terms to local countries, as required, through appropriate commercial / legal mechanisms.
Commercial Best Practice
To promote commercial best practice across the business division :
Advise and influence stakeholders to adopt commercial best practice.
Attend Business Unit, Account, Contract or Project Reviews to promote best practice.
Monitor, check and promote compliance with commercial policy and procedures.
Provide and maintain standard documentation.
Help to deliver Commercial Awareness Training’ to the business division to reinforce commercial best practice, contract obligations and relevant processes and procedures.
Develop and improve commercial deal term summary documents for communication to the business of critical deal / term principles.
Essential :

Ability to demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills and experience, with a minimum of five years in a comparable commercial role or a legal role, including but not limited to contract negotiation and on-going management.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business impact and risk mitigation in relation to contract drafting and operations.
Self-motivated individual, experienced and comfortable with problem solving and providing solutions based advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders.
Customer focused approach.
Proven track record of working with, educating and influencing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with fluency in English.
Collaborative approach with ability to maximize short term requirements and output whilst building long-term productive relationships.
Proficient analytical skills and a measured approach to decision making, including good understanding of management accounts, in particular P&L.
Desirable :
Degree in Law
Post Graduate qualification
Additional language skills relevant to CBRE business in EMEA
Facilities Management or Real Estate sector experience is a plus.
