The Direct Junior Buyer is responsible for the regional / local deployment of the strategic sourcing of defined category according to the Royal Canin specification and global strategy.

The position will work with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value for quality, money and ensure supply chain continuity through implementation of the sourcing strategy, supplier development and supply chain optimization.

Key responsabilities :

Sourcing Strategy development

  • Develop with the global category lead and deploy regional sourcing strategy
  • Ensure the Business continuity
  • Budget management

  • Manage price, supply, service, legal and intellectual property risks
  • Create annual operating plan for portfolio & submit periodic forecast updates
  • Champion the total cost of raw materials thru the DIB process and monitoring COGS
  • Supply management

  • Ensure the supply and demand of required volumes for all regional sites
  • Forecast and report on market movements to manage business risk
  • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders on developing strategic and tactical Corrective / Preventive Actions to reduce frequency of late, rejected and derogated loads, maximizing factory service targets.
  • Job holder is part of the European Commercial Direct Team (France, Poland and Austria).

    He or she is responsible for supplier relationships and delivering a competitive advantage from leveraging those relationships.

    This position will drive continuous improvement with suppliers in respect of the sustainability policy and to support growth toward health nutrition and individualization.

    This position works in a pair relationship with SQA.

    This role will partner with a broad range of stakeholders across Commercial, Quality & food safety, Formulation, Marketing and Supply.

    Direct portfolio : Packaging (From Primary to Third) & Raws (Low risk category)

    Profile

    Minimum : Bachelor Degree preferably in a science or business related discipline or local equivalent diploma. Preferred : Engineering or Commercial (BAC+5) level

    3 years of experience in Supply Chain / Purchasing and / or manufacturing role

    Experience working in diverse teams and a matrix organization

    Proven ability to build long term, mutually beneficial relationships

    Free to travel up to 25% of the time
