The MRDS Alignment team’s mission is to help standardize Millennium reference data across the client base. This will improve quality, increase speed to deployment and increase client satisfaction.
The team develops and maintains a solution that runs on a Hadoop cluster and uses distributed algorithms to detect similar reference data entities between a client’s domain and Cerner’s model domain.
The results are presented to users in a web-based application that lets the user reconcile the differences to align the domain to the standard.
The role is for a Java Software Engineer II who will have many opportunities to work on different layers of the architecture (big-data map / reduce, database, mid-tier, presentation tier) as well as operations related to infrastructure.
Main responsibilities are :
Participate in code reviews and identify moderate issues or deviations from best practices
Collaborate on component level technical designs
Own and assist others in debugging and documenting root cause analysis and resolution
Identify process improvements at team level to support operations and development ecosystem
