  • Be the point of contact for : requests on importing the standard or special products from the US to EMEA; Steelcase products with special materials;
  • products from Steelcase partners that are not included in the standard catalogues;
  • Clarify the needs (style number, quantities, options, lead-times) of the customer in collaboration with the Dealer or Sales persons;
  • Coordinate with internal Steelcase departments in identifying the best solutions and alternatives that would meet the clients’ criteria;
  • Get the approval of EMEA marketing team;
  • Search for existing codified style numbers in SAP;
  • Organize a quotation from the US order fulfillment team, including legal approval;
  • Request the logistic costs (sea freight or air freight);
  • Create a new EMEA style number using the specific tool ( CESAR );
  • Prepare the formal quote in SAP (product description and pricing) and related documents to aid the sales team and dealers;
  • Follow up the codification until the product is ready for being entered in an order;
  • With a Lean approach, actively participate in the continuous improvement process;
  • Provide needed support or guide to the appropriate contact in the company;
  • Maintain a close communication with internal partners (peers, procurement, product development, marketing) to find appropriate solutions;
  • Documents performance (process performance);
  • Keep the internal documentation up-to-date.
  • WHO YOU ARE / QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Very good communication skills and ability to build a strong network within the company;
  • Attention to details, problem-solving skills and the ability to engage relevant partners (SMEs) for fast problem resolution;
  • Able to conceptualize and analyze technical data to define creative solutions;
  • Customer oriented attitude;
  • Abilities to work transversally;
  • Team player and positive attitude;
  • Ability to keep tight deadlines, work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and independently;
  • Knowledge of Lean principles;
  • Ability to optimally provide timely support to Sales or Dealers;
  • Advanced level of English; German or French knowledge would be a big plus.
