Position Summary :

This role will be part of a team responsible for activities in SW Integration and Integration Test (A-SPICE SWE.5), and SW Qualification Test (A-SPICE SWE.

6), done in the domain of System SW of the Linux-based Infotainment projects. The SW Integration Engineer will be responsible for the build and delivery of the compiled System SW packages to the overall SW Integration team.

Job Responsibilities :

Fulfilling this role, you will be involved in and responsible for the following activities :

  • Build, integrate and test deliveries from contributing parties (System-SW functional sub-domains, external suppliers) based on the release plan.
  • Release the integrated software for the next development step (e.g. functional testing, system-wide SW integration).

  • Implement branching and delivery strategies according to configuration management plan. Manage continuous builds and communicate build issues to development teams in case of defects.
  • Document integration notes incl. contents of the software delivery (e.g. fixed and known defects, change requests, new features) and dependencies, target environment and installation information.
  • Provide a reproducible software configuration for the software release.

  • Process software defects within the defect management system step integrate .
  • Setup and maintain continuous integration environment. Develop and maintain tools to automate the integration and integration test processes.
  • Participate in the integration meetings and perform the requests decided in those meetings.
  • Act according to the standards and best practices of the automotive industry and in-vehicle applications.
  • Basic Qualifications :

    In order to fulfill this role, you are required to have the following qualifications :

  • 3+ years of experience as a software integration / release engineer.
  • Recent experience and strong hands-on skills with Version Control systems (preferably Git, SVN), Continuous Integration systems (preferably Jenkins, Bamboo) and build systems (automake, CMake).
  • Recent experience and strong hands-on skills in working in Unix / Linux environments (Bash commands and scripts, system initialization, application / service management).
  • Good knowledge of the build and integration processes and methodologies (preferably those used in the automotive industry).
  • High sense of responsibility, ability to work under pressure and according to tight deadlines, attention to details, problem solving attitude, ability to document comprehensively and concisely.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    In order to fulfill this role, it will be a plus if you have the following qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or other relevant (IT-related) specializations.
  • Previous experience with embedded software and systems.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Yocto / Bitbake.
  • Coding skills in a scripting language (preferably Python).
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks.
  • Eligibility Requirements :

    In order to be eligible for this role, you must have :

  • Good English communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to speak clearly and fluently during technical meetings.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10% of time) depending of project needs.
