Working in a team environment, the Technical SAM Consultant is responsible for implementing, engaging, assisting customers in understanding and managing of different SAM Solutions.
The Technical SAM Consultant is also responsible for keeping the Global SAM Team aware of technology changes and what are the best practices for different solutions.
Helping the SAM team execute Software Asset Management engagements.
Key Focus and Objective for Role :
Performing an inventory of installed software
Installing, supporting and training of SAM Solutions
Executing Proof of Concepts in customer environments
Supporting and training of global SAM consultants and customers from other subsidiaries on SAM Solutions
Managing and supporting hosted and on-premise SAM solutions
Technical evangelist and bridge between SoftwareONE and SAM Solution Providers
Roles & Responsibilities :
Consulting regarding customers SAM project needs (SA Solution-oriented)
Direct customer contact
Executing SAM projects, rollout and transfer of a running system to the customer
Creating documentation and reports of SAM engagements
Supporting and training of internal SAM Consultants and customers
External technical and project coordination with customers and SAM tool providers
What we need to see from you
Technology advanced skills regarding system platforms (MS & Oracle), client & server and midrange environment
Very good understanding of Microsoft’s Software Platform such as Windows Servers, Windows Operation Systems, Database, Desktop / Server Management
Very good understanding of IT environments / infrastructure. Being able to install SAM solutions from remotely and on-site
