    Your challenge

    For our R&D-IT Domain, we are looking for a Design Infrastructure Service Manager.

    The Design environment comprises a complex landscape of EDA Applications supported by High Performance compute / storage environments consolidated in 5 regional datacenters.

    The design environment is used by over 7000 designers located over 40+ premises. The state-of-the-art infrastructure has over 75000 cores and 30+ PBytes of data, serving over 2000plus CAD applications & versions.

    The operational service teams are located globally to cover 24 / 7 support.

    What will you do as our new R&D IT Design Infrastructure Service Manager?

    As IT design infrastructure Service Manager you will be held responsible for leading defined actions and initiatives, resulting in significant contribution to overall R&D IT operations.

    You will be the interface with the various technical Service Teams and R&D engineering community to drive continuous service improvement.

    Your responsibilities :

  • Develops relationship with internal clients and organizations to assess their technology, support, and security needs.
  • Act as a primary contact for all customer queries and issues.
  • Maintain process documentation (KPI, SLA, mitigation of risks and issues, etc)
  • Uses judgment in data analysis to develop and design solutions for complex processes.
  • Offers innovative solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Maintains familiarity with current and upcoming IT services and other developments.
  • Upholds a sense of customer service and measures client satisfaction.
  • Attends industry events and trade exhibitions to learn about cutting edge product releases and news.
  • Interact with business team to understand service level agreements and communicate the same to team members.
  • Oversee infrastructure upgrades, modifications and deployments.
  • Conduct risk assessment and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure that root cause analysis of infrastructure problems and develop resolution plans together with the support organization.
  • Perform incident analysis and suggest action items.
  • Work with the support organization to develop problem management and service improvement plans.
  • Maintain all documentations for deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and problem resolution activities.
  • Communicate department goals and procedures to team members.
  • Ensure team follows best practices and maintain service level agreements.
  • Responsible for End User communication.
  • Responsible that processes are defined and implemented accordingly.
  • Direct contact with Service Providers in a DevOps model.
  • What you bring

    We are looking for a candidate reflecting the following profile :

  • Ambitious and outgoing personality who enjoys a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Degree in Information technology, Industrial Engineering or similar.
  • Proven experience as service manager in a complex, security driven and technologically diversified environment, preferably in High Tech.
  • Strong motivation to apply and promote End-to-End thinking.
  • Proven track of analyzing, structuring and simplifying complex landscapes with multiple technology layers
  • Working experience in the environment where users are savvy in (Information) Technology.
  • Demonstrated successful utilization of outsourced IT delivery model.
  • Being able to understand the Designers world / needs and translate their requirements.
  • Able to speak the language of the Designer.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
