Molson Coors Beverage Company is looking for a highly motivated BI & Analytics Team Leader ( Senior Data Engineer) working in Bucharest, Romania and part of North American IT Solution Delivery team .
The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for sourcing, staging, and transforming data either directly, or by indirectly overseeing the work of others, to deliver solutions that address business needs.
Under the direction of the Manager of Data Engineering, this resource will be responsible for collaborating with functional business leaders to define solutions to address business needs and oversee both internal and external 3rd party resources to ensure those solutions are implemented.
The position is based in Bucharest, Romania, part of MC GBS Romania Development Center (RDC) and will report to the BI & Analytics Manager in Bucharest.
The Responsibilities WHAT is to be delivered :
Thought leader, driving innovative adoption and use of technology and methodologies.
Under the direction of the Data Engineering Manager, lead or directly participate in the design, development, deployment, and transition of solutions to address business requirements.
Decide the design and lead or directly perform the build, integration and implementation data solutions in data warehouse or analytics platform.
Determine the data needs, then retrieve, stage, and transform the data to enable the required advanced analytical insights and business intelligence solutions.
Provide flexible solutions in a rapid paced environment and react to changes in solutions as the analytics used in the business change.
Under the direction of the Manager of Data Engineering, understand and promote ETL standards and governance.
Ensure standards are met so that solutions deployed have technical integrity and stability.
Serve as a subject matter expert for all relevant modern data integration and / or advanced analytic tools (R, Talend, Data Services, etc.).
Provide thought leadership and strong technical communications for all advanced analytic solutions.
Build cross-functional relationships with Business Stakeholders, Architects, Data Scientists, BI Managers, and Business Partners to understand data needs and help projects and agile teams deliver on those needs.
The Qualifications HOW we expect the employees to work :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent is required, which might be substituted with additional experience
3+ years of experience in a data-engineering role with demonstrated experience in data integration and data warehouse projects.
Experience overseeing data deliverables for BI or analytics solutions produced by internal resources or 3rd parties in a large, complex business.
Experience in leading Data engineering and ETL teams and managing implementation projects that utilize ETL
Experience managing onshore and offshore resources.
Experience building end-to-end data solutions with focus on integration.
Experience with ETL tools such as SAP Business Objects Data Services, Talend, Hana SLT, Python, SQL.
Strong understanding of data and information architecture.
Ability to effectively interact with and respond to questions from managers, employees, customers, and vendors.
Direct hands-on experience designing and developing data solutions, particularly in a data engineer role, sufficient to actually perform these functions in periods of low demand when 3rd parties are not being utilized.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Very good command of English language.
Professional training, accreditation, or certification in select Business Intelligence or Analytics
Oversight of 1-5 indirect or direct reports
5+ years in a data-engineering role with demonstrated experience in data integration and data warehouse projects.
