Your responsibilities :
Support the development of a worldwide material and supplier strategy, while taking into account Continental requirements;
Provide support for strategy definition together with cross-functional partners, and implement the strategy in all the relevant Business Units worldwide;
Drive and support pooling activities together with external cooperation partners;
Achieve an efficient "Stamped Parts Controlling" by making sure the data is updated on time in the respective systems, by correcting data, if applicable, and by taking responsibility for monthly controlling;
Actively influence the sourcing process (supplier selection, price negotiations, closing legally binding contracts, sourcing decisions);
Conduct annual price negotiations, support supplier improvement programs, re-design to cost measures, as well as other cost reduction programs.
A mentor will support you to stepwise take over responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes, and organization.
University degree in Economics, Business Administration & Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering;
Several years of professional experience in purchasing;
Experience in the automotive industry;
Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs and SAP R / 3;
Business fluent in English;
German knowledge is an advantage;
Stress resistance, conflict resolution abilities, assertiveness;
