The position

As a SEO Manager at Avira you will drive the organic customer acquisition in a cross-platform environment focusing on quality traffic that has a good propensity to convert, by employing an integrated, multi-

channel strategy which starts with Avira’s website and ties in together with Avira’s publishing platforms such as the Blog, while complementing the Social Media efforts.

App Store optimization will play a very important part in your area of responsibilities.

Your responsibility

  • Consult on-site and off-site SEO Strategies and execute on SEO tactics
  • Conduct regular keyword researches and competitive benchmarks. Provide an improvements action plan based on insights delivered by these analyses
  • Assess SEO technical status, propose corrective actions and contribute to implementing these actions
  • Contribute to creating and executing a Content strategy that starts from user needs and focuses on the main target groups and on driving quality traffic with good conversion rates
  • Conduct page level optimizations
  • Demonstrate technical excellence and thought leadership
  • Support SEO sales activities and develop new SEO products / services if required
  • Global traffic growth and organic user acquisition for both free and paid products across various platforms
  • Collaborate with the other SEO, content and CRO experts and manage the SEO international agencies
  • Managing and engaging with international SEO agencies for producing and optimizing content in various languages for particular international markets
  • Keeping up with the latest developments in the SEO world, and updating the respective teams with further developments they need to take
  • Prioritize an on-site optimization backlog and drive it together with the website development teams
  • Monitor and grow inbound referrals and traffic, including download portals
  • Work closely with the PR and Social Media teams in order to drive a common goal, global traffic growth
  • Further grow Avira’s video channels as a solution to user engagement and content virality
  • Define and implement a strategy for promoting our products onto the Apple and Google application stores, with a keen eye on growing mobile user acquisition
  • Design and implement the right KPIs and metrics to assess SEO performance and to provide insightful funnel metrics for further data-driven optimizations
  • Occasional need to travel
  • Your profile

  • 5+ years working in a similar position
  • Great English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong experience with tracking tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Previous expertise working with SEO reporting tools such as MOZ, SEMrush etc.
  • Proven success record of App Store Optimization
  • Numbers driven and the ability to analyze and crunch on data
  • Good understanding of marketing optimization such as AB tests
  • Great understanding of how the various marketing channels intersect and influence each other
  • Experience with agile methodologies is considered a plus
