We develop the future of highly advanced braking technology for all vehicle types. Future Brake Systems must be capable of more than just decelerating a car safely.

They must contribute to the efficiency of the vehicle, and they must meet new requirements for Automated Driving. Part of that is to generate brake pressure very quickly when active driving safety requires it.

In an electrified vehicle, the seamless blending of regenerative braking (recuperation) and wheel braking with the MK C2 can increase the recuperation efficiency by up to 30 percent on a hybrid braking system without a simulator pedal.

In other words, the MK C2 alone can make it possible to lower the CO2 emissions by up to 5 grams per kilometer. MK C2 is the enabler for Future Brake Systems and Motion Control solutions.

It especially supports the first step forward towards brake systems of the future the transition to genuine brake-by-wire systems.

MK C2 is designed for Automated Driving according to SAE Level 3 or higher. Depending on the customer requirements, the MK C2 can be applied with a mechanical pedal or with an electronic pedal.

We are looking for highly motivated Product Development Engineer for Electronic Brake Systems. As a Product Development Engineer we makes things happened : we take an idea from scratch and take it to a mature level sufficient to enter in the Application Projects.

Challenges of the job :

Definition and development of platform product family strategy, architecture and components

Definition of platform features and requirements to the products

Coordination of implementation of platform configurations and set of features into products

Decomposition of the platform into sub-systems (features, modules, components)

Moderation and communication with different disciplines (HW, SW, Testing, ME)

Coordinate feasibility studies for implementing of a new feature in a platform

Search for new technologies and solutions to implement into upcoming new products

Systematic and abstract analyzing and formulation of corresponding solutions

Planning, reporting, and monitoring of engineering activities according to project boundaries

Qualifications Knowledge and skills :

System engineering knowledge, with focus on architecture, functional safety, hydraulics, motor control, power electronics and sensors

Technically minded eager and desired to understand the products and key drivers (from all disciplines : mechanics, electronics, and software) for technological development of the platform

Strong entrepreneurship and ownership as basis for a self-determined working style

A team player with highly communication skills and stakeholder management abilities

Capable of working with cross-functional international teams

Experience in project leadership. Agile methods experience is a plus

Ability to priorities issues based on level of importance and identify innovative and timely solutions

Methodical and structured approach

Fluent English, both in speaking and writing

Qualifications

University degree (i.e. Computer Science, Electronics, Informatics, Mechanics, Physics, Mathematics )

Relevant experience in automotive development, actuation systems experience is a plus
