The Senior Access Specialist is responsible to implement, lead and manage the market access strategies and activities for our company portfolio in the assigned therapeutic areas to enhance business results.
Key tasks & responsibilities
Profile and segment payer customers to define target customers and tailor approaches.
Build / adapt and use value propositions and materials that address the behavioural objectives, drivers and barriers of each customer group (payer, KOLs, other decision makers)
Support development of strategies and action plans to manage national and local payers to ensure inclusion in reimbursement, funding availability and favorable formulary / guideline status for relevant therapeutic areas.
Development and implementation (following internal approvals) of access projects for company's products in connection with the necessities of the local healthcare system.
Early detection and warning of potential threats and risk in the environment as well as identification of opportunities in the healthcare environment in order to sustain access in the assigned therapeutic areas.
Monitoring and ongoing updating on the changes in the access system (public and private) that are relevant for the company.
Management of the information regarding prices for the assigned products and contribution to the development and submission of the necessary documents to the authorities.
Coordination of the information from marketing, medical, regulatory necessary for the reimbursement documentation.
Presenting and sustaining the reimbursement requests in front of the healthcare authorities
Education, Experience & Competencies required
University (business or scientific). Master degree preferred
3-5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry, focusing on access & pricing
Experience in the business negotiations and group presentations
Good sense of networking (establish relationships with key decision makers)
Experience in effectively and persuasively articulating complex issues to key decision makers, using different tools, including pharmaco-economic argumentation
Able to demonstrate strong capabilities to work in a complex and competitive environment
Excellent understanding of local healthcare system in Romania (legislation framework, HC management, financing mechanism), including market access process from NHIH down to the CHIH and to end customers.
Language : Romanian and English business proficiency and understanding
