Project Description

Our client's Corporate Bank division is a leading provider of cash management, trade finance and securities finance. CB Operations envision having a single platform to manage all exception processing and work elements from a single portal - Operations Portal.

Operations Portal is a single collection of UIs for Operations functionality, standard design and tenant hosting standards to address the Operations "swivel-chair" user experience.

It will introduce new functionality to consolidate user experience, enhance capacity distribution to capture 24 X 7 processing, automate rules, regulations and laws and controls.

Rules engine creates client-specific product experience and enables the data to travel effectively across the suite.

The Operations Portal solution will introduce the following key features :

Multi-country / currency / entity portal accessed by a centralized operation, creating efficiencies through common a user experience

Appropriate validation, controls, and user admin to streamline and standardize processes by leveraging a common utility

Common workflow to reduce process deviations, decreasing headcount dependency and overall risk for operational incidents

The Java Development Engineer designs and develops application code in response to business problems and may participate as part of a team on development-related work.

The candidate will be a member of a team working and developing on "green-field" technology aimed at digitizing and simplifying the processing of Corporate Bank transactions.

The candidate will be creative and dynamic as part of a self-organizing team in a progressive agile environment.

He / She should have strong technical knowledge and experience as well as being proficient in the following areas : Java, Spring Framework, Jenkins / Teamcity, Maven / Gradle, and Github.

Experience with RESTful services, Kafka, JSON, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Cloud is a plus.

Summary :

  • The UX Designer plans for and designs solutions using the business division's strategic goals as an agenda. UX Design solutions must follow our client's design standards;
  • however, the designer must be able to independently self-identify opportunities and understand when to innovate design solutions in cooperation with Architecture, Application Development, Business Analysis, and Program Management.

    This role is ultimately responsible for developing and communicating detailed design and requirements through all stages of the SDLC.

    They should be able to manage individual UX projects independently with only some oversight and within tight timelines. The designer must be able to manage and communicate ideas and collaborate with other members of the global CBIB UX Practice, including visual designers, developers, analysts and product development teams to produce compelling world-class user experiences that can deliver measurable ROI.

    Tasks / Responsibilities :

    Be familiar with new UX methods, promote them across the bank and experiment with them in your projects.

    Be aware of the latest Web Accessibility standards.

    Work independently with business users to help reach consensus on overall design strategies.

    Work with technical leads and developers to communicate the requirements and apply project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time.

    Communicate prospective information architecture and design model synergies across related projects.

    Architect the information flow to come up with detailed wireframes and screen designs using Adobe Illustrator.

    Perform heuristic site evaluations and competitive site analysis.

    Create and revise information architecture documents including but not limited to; site maps, user profiles, research, user scenarios, wireframes, content matrices, flow diagrams / process maps, and detailed design requirements / specifications.

    Devise and facilitate usability test sessions, analyze data and preset findings with recommendations to stakeholder team.

    Provide design effort level scoping.

    Conduct UX Quality Assurance during development and testing phases to ensure the system looks and behaves as specified by UX.

    Log issues and rate according to usability impact. Provide UX direction for unexpected development challenges.

    Promote and enforce the client's product style guides.

    Must have

    Solid proficiency in a variety of design tools (Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma, etc.)

    Ability to scale the fidelity of your prototypes from quick and light-weight to pixel perfect.

    Experience working with large-scale web, desktop & mobile based products.

    Experience working on complex, highly transactional / executable application projects.

    Expertise in conceptualization and solution definition.

    Expert in User-Centric Design Principles and Practices.

    Experience in planning, designing and executing User Research methodologies.

    Experience providing direction and collaborating with Visual Designers.

    Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills.

    A detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in an Agile development environment where teams will be working at different paces.

    Ability to formulate UX design strategy and communicate to the product team.

    Nice to have

    Education Certification (Recommended) :

    5 or more years working as a UX designer or in UX-related role.

    BA / BS or MA / MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Human Factors or related field.
