Infrastructure Engineer with Linux
Level of expertise : Junior to Middle
Location : Iasi
The Technology used :
All applications use the latest technologies such as Unix / Linux, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Perl, Python, CI / CD, KVM virtualization, SaaS.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge :
previous experience with Unix / Linux system administration;
hands-on experience in the networking area;
experience with configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform etc.)
knowledge of shell scripting, including Bash, Perl or Python;
strong troubleshooting skills;
learning attitude : actively investing in technical skills to improve them;
strong interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills;
bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent;
Responsibilities :
ensure effective and rapid response to incidents;
control and responsibility for 50 Linux servers around the world;
collaboration with an internal client Linux engineer;
day-to-day management of production Linux systems;
perform planned and unplanned maintenance procedures, including software upgrades and patches;
serve as an escalation resource, handling technical issues which may require further investigation and consultation with other teams within the company;
monitor operational components for warnings and errors, investigate and resolve issues;
assist with system deployment duties including system builds, firewalls and load balancers;
contribute to infrastructure as code (IaC) development;
automate repeatable processes through Ansible playbooks and Python scripts.
