The SAP SD Consultant role is to collaborate closely with clients and client-facing IT, in the areas of Sales and Distribution within Morse business division of BorgWarner.

The role requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of SAP Sales and Distribution, how it relates to company business processes and how it integrates with other systems & other integrated SAP modules.

There are two components of this role :

  • Provide SAP SD support to the business community within Morse division of BorgWarner globally
  • Collaborate in defining overall strategy and solutions with regard to multiple business processes in their areas of expertise and work with other IT groups and suppliers to provide technical and process guidance as needed, evaluate vendor products and services that could provide improved and more effective solutions.
  • The SAP SD Consultant works globally with the SAP Core Team and other SAP Level 2 teams and reports directly to appointed IT Manager SAP L2.

    Main responsibilities

  • In Sales & Distribution area
  • Be up to date on technology innovations and solutions and advise the business colleagues accordingly
  • Gather requirements from business process owners, key users and / or end users, facilitate business process discussions, and participate in solution design, documentation and testing
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for processes, policies and procedures through statistical analysis. Continually look for ways to drive SAP SD best practice processes and procedures.
  • Work as a liaison and subject matter expert between SAP support organization and business owners for system updates, root cause analysis, and solution recommendations.
  • Analyze business cases to measure adherence to standardized practices and data governance standards.
  • Use current knowledge of business and technology to recommend systems and process improvements to increase the value of insights generated
  • Translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements
  • Support business case development with the business to justify new initiatives, innovations and projects.
  • Background, Experience and Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in the Business Administration, Computer science, Engineering, or a comparable course of studies
  • Not less than 3 years of business analysis and no less than 3 years of SAP SD related experience or commensurate, demonstrated expertise
  • Comfortable facilitating workshops with small and large groups
  • Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate to multiple stakeholders, including client management, IT management, and non-technical staff
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-intensity, multi-project environment, with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-Manages : Demonstrated ability to work autonomously towards a goal
  • Exposure to ITIL and / or other structured service management methodologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and oral)
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
  • Preferred / Ideal Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Management or Computer Science
  • At least 3 years’ related work experience is required
  • Good knowledge of SAP SD module as well as Sales & Distribution processes
  • Good knowledge of SD / MM / FI integrations
