For our client, a leader in the production of corrugated cardboard packaging’s, we are looking for a Procurement Manager.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Engineering or Business Administration;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience at least 3 years of within paper and / or FMCG environment in Procurement and / or Supply Chain management;
  • Good understanding and managerial experience of Supply Chain;
  • Know-how of Supply Chain related systems and technologies (ERP, SAP and TMS);
  • Knowledge of procurement trends;
  • Worked within matrix organizational model;
  • Good at leading and managing teams;
  • Preparing procurement reports.

    Descrierea jobului

  • Leading all procurement activities within Romania (in that moment 2 locations);
  • Ensuring all the items are procured within company procurement strategies and comply with company policies and procedures;
  • Maximizing the benefits to bundle the opp. by having market / supplier knowledge in cooperation with Lead buyers;
  • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective;
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors;
  • Ensuring all the targets as savings, cash flow and others are met;
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms;
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility;
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers;
  • Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services;
  • Ensuring the right quantity ordered and delivered in order to fulfil the needs of the customers without increasing stocks;
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements;
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs;
  • Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods;
  • Defining and creating the right team by inspiring to let them manage activities on time by achieving the targets;
  • Ensuring to improve of poor performance fields to improve customer service levels and working to take necessary actions for improvement;
  • Leading procurement activities and develop alternatives to be one step ahead of competition;
  • Managing the costs of all strategic items as like; paper, transportation, starch, ink CAPEX in line with company procurement team and lead buyers;
  • Leading projects about reducing costs; increasing efficiency and improve customer service level.

    Ensuring to have the right materials on board with required quantities in order to comply with company’s Operating Working Capital (OWC) targets.
