About the Role

The Team Lead Continuous Improvement (Impact) will be focused on supporting the research teams with projects, process- and technology improvements.

Since it is a new team, it is important the Team Lead Continuous Improvement can coach and guide the less experienced members in the team.

Typically, the Team Lead Continuous Improvement works closely with his / her / their manager and team of Continuous Improvements Analysts spread across multiple countries, as well as with internal Sustainalytics’ stakeholders to ensure that all the agreed-upon research commitments are met.

The Team Lead Continuous Improvement is ultimately responsible for the delivery and quality of each assigned project.

The ideal candidate should preferably be able to work in a fast-paced, international, technical environment, and have a coaching type of leadership.

The ability to communicate clearly at all levels, form strong relationships with stakeholders and proactively identify and manage risks is also essential in this role.

The Impact Continuous Improvement Team is part of the Impact Pillar which is part of the global Sustainalytics research department.

The Team Lead Continuous Improvement will report to the Team Manager Continuous Improvement (Impact), located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effective management of project and improvement initiatives, including escalations to senior management.
  • Monthly reporting to senior management on projects, performance of business processes and tools, covering relevant KPIs.
  • Develop the necessary technical and content skills required for the role, and support in coaching the less experienced members within the team.
  • Act as main point of contact for all questions, comments and concerns related to the assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Identifies areas for improvement for the research with the Impact Pillar.
  • Develop expertise in understanding the technical platforms supporting to the ESG Impact Research and be able to document ICT research requirements.
  • Support drafting and maintenance of Impact Pillar relevant business process documentation / mapping and SOPs;
  • Support monitoring and maintenance of quality management system / tools for the Impact Pillar, including Root Cause Analyses and lead the monthly issue management sessions with PSD and Client Relationships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across global teams and offices.
  • Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in running and managing projects and creating project progress reports.
  • Experience leading and managing teams in an asset.
  • Experience and knowledge of quality management systems and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, analytical entrepreneurialism and critical thinking are key.
  • Passion for sustainability and demonstrated interest in sustainable finance.
  • Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong business process management / improvement experience and knowledge (LeanSixSigma or similar) is an asset.
  • Nice to have

  • Technical expertise related to excel macros, python and SQL.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and responsible investment and debt capital markets.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps is an asset.
