The Data Protection Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day execution of activities for the ING Bank Romania’s (ING RO) Data Protection Executive (DPE) in the business line.
The team member works closely with ING RO Data Protection Officer (DPO), and Group Data Protection Office to monitor and support ING RO’s compliance with the ING’s Global Data Protection Policy (GDPP) and alignment with the overall data strategy of ING.
Daily activities include collaboration with ING Group Data Protection Office, DPO ING RO, bank wide stakeholders and tribe leads and product owners to :
Engage with those responsible for data protection in the business units and support functions to identify opportunities to improve the way ING Bank protects personal data and support execution thereof;
Driving implementation of the GDPR and relevant legislation, through governance, data inventory, data policies & processes, controls;
Creating awareness and deliver trainings on data protection compliance and Data Ethics and monitoring compliance with the relevant regulations and policies;
Prepare and transmit Data Protection activity reports and presentations to Group and local stakeholders and bodies in case required;
Providing support for all responsible in 1st line data protection in the business lines and support functions;
Manage data breach notification and the resolution and remedial action of all data protection incidents and report these where appropriate to the local responsible bodies
What you bring to the team
Good understanding of general banking environment and ING Banking products, services and operational flows;
Good stakeholder management skills;
Knowledge of data protection and / or data ethics (including GDPR regulations) is a plus
Ability to develop working processes that provide structure and discipline
Experienced user of Microsoft Office package (Excel and Power Point are a must).
Analytical thinking, able to work under pressure, capable to meet certain deadlines
English (writing, speaking) advanced.
