Job Title

IT Consultant / Level TP3.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work with customers to analyse, determine and document the technical requirements for the implementation of Finastra products and the integration with the other customer’s applications.
  • Be responsible for the implementation of the agreed scope of work from above.
  • Define and prepare the environments used by the entire Global Practice team when working on projects and when working on replication, analysis, correction of customer requests.
  • Find optimizations whenever possible to have a repeatable increasing the predictability and reduce the dependency on IT tasks
  • Your accountability will include preparation of VM & databases management.
  • Propose methods (scripting) to identify similar issues or ease the validation of the solution
  • Provide support and produce documentation
  • Personal requirements and skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a IT consultant or administrator or similar role
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Fast learner and ability to adapt and switch between tasks and systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on project’s success
  • Pro-active attitude and very good organizational skills : ability to manage urgent requests on the Team-IT side and to also progress with longer-
  • term projects in the other areas

  • Working with an automation mindset ; making sure that steps and actions can be tracked, reproduced and that we can improve each process with written know-
  • how and / or automatic scripting

  • Technical Skills (Technical requirements will cover domains such as : software architecture, users and data security, sizing for hardware and software performance according to business requirements, application operations model)

  • Scripting and Job Scheduler systems : Batch / Powershell including automation of tasks and definition of job scheduling and monitoring.
  • Advanced skills for transformation platform (XSLT, JSON, ...) and exposure to integration with standard market protocols (FIX, MQ, ...)
  • administrator or user expert on windows platforms and related monitoring tools (Hardware resources, or debug information)
  • Database : structure definition, Stored Procedure / function / trigger programming (specific to oracle : PL / SQL) and automation.
  • Performance analysis : indexes creation, tablespace sizes, queries performance, etc.

  • Financial systems and Capital Markets knowledge is a plus. Being familiar with the concepts of financial data, instruments, trades, orders, limits, payment messages, confirmations, reports, all involved in a Front to Back Financial solutions
  • Travel Requirements

  • Willing and able to travel, often with international assignments (mostly across Europe) most often on short term (1 or 2 weeks)
  • Work Location

  • The role reports into the Bucharest Fusion Invest Team Lead or the Global Head of Fusion Invest Practice
  • Onsite (Finastra or clients) with the team
