Reporting to the Global Commodity Manager, this position is responsible for the execution of category strategy for the Mechanical categories including plastics molding and rubbers with over $25M of spend working closely with the EMEA and APAC regions manufacturing sites.
This role will also partner with the stakeholders inside the business as well as with suppliers to select Preferred suppliers for new products and technologies.
Duties to include, project identification, from data gathering, data analysis, auction creation, and award to work alongside with project leads to keep projects on schedule, support any engineering requests to push project to closure, ensure supplier relationship, spend / save negotiation for the EMEA and APAC region, working on a Global team to support team s goals, main responsibilities will also involve strategic and tactical support, as needed, with those assigned suppliers and sites.
The position initially has a temporary, 1 year contract.
JOB DUTIES :
Contribute to the injection molding and rubber sourcing strategy in collaboration with the strategic team and the global category team leader.
Lead negotiations with assigned suppliers (face to face and virtual)
Achieve productivity / cycle time results as per the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
Drive key initiatives with the supply base Lead times, Payment Terms,
Champion relationship with key supplier partners to drive performance in quality, cost, and other metrics
Support tactical escalations to reach both corporative goals and day to day procurement supply assurance.
YOU MUST HAVE :
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years Commodity / Category Specialist or Senior Procurement experience
Experience in sourcing and purchasing of injection molding / rubber components
3 years' experience in Sourcing / Procurement
Strong competence with Microsoft Excel
Strong English skills (Written and Verbal)
Small travel (
Demonstrated sourcing skills managing spend and suppliers
