Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to become a valued member of our successful bridge group as a Software Quality Analyst II.
The position is in our office located in Iasi, Romania.
The Software Quality Analyst plays an important role as part of the Product Advancement team , by applying its technical knowledge for the validation and functional verification of a suite of Bridge Modeling, Design and Analysis Software .
The Software Quality Analyst is a subject matter expert with proven practical experience with various bridge types and design specifications, and works collaboratively with other quality analysts, product management and development teams across multiple product lines.
Location : Iasi, Romania
Owns testing of assigned products : estimate testing tasks, create test plans, responsible for the testing, validation and functional verification, and provide suggestions on how testing can be optimized.
Detect, analyze, log and track software bugs / defects and follow the bug life cycle
Verify / Validate User reported issues
Conduct ongoing functional testing, regression testing, and analysis and testing of the software products
Verify software quality via planning, creation, execution and maintenance of manual and automated test procedures
Create, identify, document, and execute test cases from design documentation and functional specifications
Collaborate with other team members and product managers to accomplish the testing and development objectives
Document procedures and recommendations for all phases of product testing.
Learn necessary Bentley Products that interact with the assigned products.
Requirements / Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering (CCIA or CFDP) is required.
Geotechnical engineering knowledge or Master’s degree in this field is a plus.
Basic knowledge of Quality Assurance theory : principles, methodologies and techniques
Analytical mindset, ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
CAD design software experience (Microstation is a plus)
Proven experience using advanced analysis software (examples include PLAXIS, STAAD, Midas, CSI Bridge, etc.) and good working knowledge of Excel, MathCad, Word and PowerPoint.
Essential Skills and Experience :
Good analytical skills with strong problem-solving ability and investigation skills
Good communication skills, fluent in English and must work well in a team environment and interact with offices at overseas locations.
Conversant with engineering calculations with the help of software tools like Excel, MathCad, etc.
Must exhibit initiative and be a self-starter who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Aptitude to analyze information, develop recommendations and present proposed solutions.
