Department DescriptionThe Applications Global Strategy team focus is globalization strategy across application product lines including Fusion, EBS, JDE, and PeopleSoft. As needed and time allows, we also provide globalization insight and assistance to Oracle’s Global Business Unit (GBU) teams. The primary responsibility is legal watch and inbound product planning, including global, regional and country-specific requirements. Based on the substantial and unique expertise on the team, there is also significant focus on field and customer enablement as it relates to globalization and product capabilities.Role & ResponsibilitiesAs a Product Strategy Manager, you will play a leading role in defining Oracle’s product strategy in meeting global, regional and country specific requirements including:•Legal watch, release planning and program management for designated areas of responsibility•Validating the competitiveness and the proper level of compliance enablement of Oracle products for the assigned countries•Identify and document business requirements for global, regional and where required country specific features to be incorporated into the products •Conduct and participate in business requirements reviews across product teams•Establish and maintain relationships with key Oracle teams across development and field teams, as well as with partners, and relevant government agenciesExperience, Skills, AcademicSummary:The ideal candidate will have at least 10 plus years of experience as a Financials ERP implementation consultant, product manager and/or pre-sales consultant. A thorough understanding of the functional and business issues, with an emphasis on how to drive requirements through the software development cycle is required. Indirect taxes and accounting proficiency, especially as it relates to varying requirements across counties is highly valuable in this role. The ideal candidate will set the pace through action. Selected candidate must be able to inspire confidence and be a self-starter and a finisher with a strong bias toward action.Experience:•10 plus years of ERP implementation consultant, product manager, pre-sales, and/or global multinational I.T. experienceSkills and attributes:•Domain expert, product champion, thought leader •Deep functional ERP expertise•Analytical and structured thinking•Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to dynamic challenges•Creativity and resourcefulness in identifying solutions•Outstanding oral and written communication skills oEnglish proficiency is a must as all inbound product requirements and development work is done in English•Results and execution focus•High drive, self-starter•Positive, solutions orientation•Ability to handle complex and ambiguous challengesAs part of Oracle’s employment process candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment screening process, prior to an offer being made. Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
