Job Description & Summary

A career in Information Technology, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that enable our people to work more efficiently and deliver the highest levels of service to our clients.

You’ll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth.

Our Operations Support team monitors the overall quality of our service. As a part of the team, you’ll be the primary contact for ensuring the quality of our services is maintained while also considering better ways to provide the same service in a more cost efficient manner and keeping customer satisfaction with our services high.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and / or a proven record of success directing efforts in the planning and building of information technology-related application and infrastructure services across a global network of professional services firms emphasizing global technology needs in various IT technical areas including the following areas :

  • Understanding the technology function and service methodologies from a technical and operational perspective and how technology fits into the firm and network strategy as well as strategic technology programs;
  • Using strategic management and delivery methodologies to drive an agile delivery culture to organize, plan and carry out complex assignments and messaging in global organizations;
  • Utilizing business skills such as financial, resource, vendor, planning and issue management to solve critical and strategic business technology issues;
  • Identifying and resolving complex issues and risks while balancing conflicting leadership guidance and interests with diplomacy and recognizing circumstances that require escalation;
  • Possessing written, oral and listening skills with the ability to influence sponsors and stakeholders;
  • Driving strategic problem identification, definition, alternative / option definition, and taking decisive action to achieve program objectives in alignment with organization and firm strategy;
  • Leading the tactical, financial, and strategic outcomes of the organization based on delivery and operational needs of the program;
  • Coaching and developing a team, including staff selection, engagement, development, retention, and performance;
  • Possessing experience in virtual leadership of international resources / teams delivering to globally diverse stakeholder groups;
  • Leading highly visible complex strategic program activities, bringing current knowledge and future vision of technology, processes, and industry leading practices as related to business requirements and industry trends;
  • Understanding of the formation, facilitation and execution of governance and decision making bodies at the leadership, functional and operational levels;
  • Leading assigned programs including cost management, schedule management, scope strategic program planning, efficient management, and profitable execution;
  • Developing and managing in accordance with strict annual budgeting protocols including holding leaders accountable for budget overages and advising senior leadership as needed;
  • Working collaboratively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment with multiple competing priorities which requires self-motivation, discipline, organization, and a high attention to detail;
  • Maintaining relationships and channels of communication with business sponsors and technology leadership including collaborating with senior level staff / partners in other departments and lines of service throughout the firm;
  • Utilizing industry specific knowledge and converting to service improvement opportunities yielding quantifiable results;
  • Utilizing IT Service Management industry-leading practices (ITIL);
  • Demonstrating operations control quality and process improvement systems (ISO 9000, SEI CMM, Six Sigma, etc)
  • Demonstrating Technical security operations and information security standards example : ISO 17799 security standard
  • Validating solution designs / architectures and building on compliance with mandatory standards
  • Creating an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views and coach staff to encourage improvement and innovation.
  • Minimum Degree Required - High School Diploma

    Degree Preferred - Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum Years of Experience - 10 years of progressive roles leading IT operations quality control, process improvement, and compliance.

    OR 10 years of progressive roles leading IT transformation that include operations, policy, and business strategy.

    Certification Preferred - Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
