This role reports into Regional HR Manager in Zurich. The Lead HR will assist the manager Lead in making sure all local HR compliance is achieved, with the support of offshore teams based in India.
First point of contact for a population of 600 employees composed of employees located in 3 locations in Romania : Bucharest, Tg Mures and Timisoara.
The HR lead will actively participate in maintaining a healthy social climate as well as a supportive and effective HR service to local business leaders.
Recommend and deliver local solutions covering multiple areas of human resources including employee on-boarding, local benefits, training, employee / labour relations or other services.
Conduct all inductions / on-boarding related efforts for new hires, transfers, etc. and follow up on trial period outcomes.
Conduct the exit process in accordance with the company process and the legal requirements
Ensure temporary assignees from abroad are welcomed and well assisted upon arrival to Romania and throughout their assignment.
Provide guidance and counsel to managers on HR-related matters
Actively contribute to the development, local implementation and coordination of HR strategies, policies and operations in partnership with business unit and regional leadership
Ensure consistent execution of performance management process, disciplinary cases, grievance and investigatory matters by monitoring and reviewing formal documentation requirements
Build and manage the local training plan to meet business priorities / requirements and budget
Effectively partner with Central HR Functions such as compensation, recruiting, payroll, organizational effectiveness, etc.
Manage day to day work flow and HR processes including preparation of documents for payroll (medical leaves, supporting documents for special days off, etc), administrative HR support (maintain employee files) and create hire documents for new joiners for all 3 locations.
Experience in human resource functions in Romania is necessary, ideally in an international matrix environment, on topics such as employment, compensation, training, labour and employee relations, HR compliance and administration.
Knowledge of Romanian employment and labour law and regulations
Able to build collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization, including with remote teams and individuals.
Comfortable in a fast paced, multinational working environment, requiring to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Excellent working knowledge of both Romanian and English languages
Good Communication and Influencing skills
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred, SAP a plus.
