Job Description :
The Material Management Specialist will perform duties related to the requisition, receipt, inspection, storage, inventory and issue of all material, consumables, expendables, tools and equipment and modification kits required for the System Integration and Check Out (SICO).
Other specific duties include establishing and maintaining stock records and other documents such as inventory, materiel control, and account and supply reports.
The Material Management Specialist establishes and maintains automated and manual accounting records, posts receipts and turn-ins;
reviews and verifies quantities received against bills of lading, contracts, purchase requests, and shipping documents; unloads, unpacks, visually inspects, counts, segregates, palletizes and stores incoming supplies and equipment;
maintains a stock locator system and administers document control procedures; packs, crates, stencils, weighs and bands equipment and supplies for storage or shipment;
assembles bins, shelving and other storage aids; and operates material handling equipment (MHE).
The Material Management Specialist will aid in scheduling and conducting inventories of all equipment, kits, and supplies and coordinating with the local national officials for the conduct of joint inventories of received shipments.
May work with, train, and advise local hire maintenance personnel on operational and technical aspects of aforementioned equipment.
Must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Perform other duties and activities as directed.
The Material Management Specialist will report to the SICO Lead.
This position is a short term, unaccompanied assignment located in Romania.
Required Skills :
A graduate of the Unit Supply Specialist (MOS 92Y) course or a graduate of a technical school or similar course of instruction or comparable experience
Minimum of two (4) years experience with duties involving request, receipt, storage, inventory, issue, and accountability
Minimum of one (1) year experience with the Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) or similar Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software suite to include set up of job plans, tool storage, consumable & repair part storage, and reporting
Certified on Forklift operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to obtain a Romanian Work Visa
Desired Skills :
Active Secret Clearance
Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management or similar business processes
Demonstrated basic knowledge of the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and system integration process
Demonstrated experience with Contractor Logistics Support
Demonstrated experience with environmental program compliance
Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Project
Demonstrated experience with training of team members
Demonstrated experience with the MAXIMO system
Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs
Experience living and working in an overseas location
Raytheon Six Sigma Certified
Required Education (including Major) :
Bachelors Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years experience or HS Diploma / GED with 12 years of related experience.
