The hub will create a wealth of skills and technical capability in one of the fastest growing cities in Romania. The Fintech hub is meant to create a new high-

caliber location for Group Technology and Engineering (GTE). GTE is structured around the design, build and maintenance of innovative systems, products and services.

GTE works in partnership with customer-facing teams to innovate and build reliable and secure products and services across many industries.

Role Description Summary

The QA Engineer will report to a QA Lead and will work closely with each of the disciplines within the Delivery Team (Product Owner, Design, Development & Test) to complete test analysis, test design, manual and automated test execution integrating closely to deliver User Stories.

Defines and creates test cases from analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability).

Produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services. Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources and tools.

Records and analyses actions and results, and maintains a defect register. Reviews test results and modifies tests if necessary.

Provides reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues. Work closely with the Test Manager to enhance test processes on an ongoing basis.

Conducts reviews of supplied specifications, with others as necessary, estimate testing effort and documents all work in accordance with agreed standards.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Complete Exploratory Testing / Manual / Functional Testing of the user stories delivered in the sprint
  • Estimates testing effort, plan and manage the generation of all tests within Scrum Team
  • Manage and execute tests accurately and within agreed Sprint time scales
  • Manage and assign defects for resolution; Capturing of test evidence and test reporting through JIRA / ALM
  • May create SQL scripts to facilitate the inspection, extraction, transformation and loading of data
  • Usage of the test automation framework / tools to produce and maintain the Automated Functional Regression Test capability
  • Update and executes the Automation Suite following each sprint to include new features
  • Maintain the test suite to ensure it continues to work following updates to the code / design o Ensure test coverage is agreed and reviewed by the Delivery Team.
  • Ensure the Automated Test Suite is integrated with the CI Server Jobs
  • Review Component & Component Integration Test results
  • Participate and provide updates on tasks at the Daily Stand Up
  • Attend Sprint Planning, Design Review, Showcase & Retrospectives
  • Working collaboratively with delivery team to ensure the Acceptance Criteria has been met
  • Support the implementation of process improvements identified in the retrospective
  • Experience / Exposure

  • Proven working experience in testing software applications (backend apps and automation testing is a big plus)
  • Sound understanding and experience of the Agile software development lifecycle
  • Experience with different bug tracking systems like JIRA, HP ALM, others
  • Knowledge of data extraction, transformation and data loading techniques nice to have
  • Experience with different RDMS or DW (any of Oracle, MS SQL Server, others) and SQL, PL / SQL language nice to have
  • Experience in testing message based applications is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, able to provide support to solve business or production problems
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues
