An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist within Honeywell’s Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT) Advanced Materials (AM) business.
This position will be responsible for handling the Research & Fine Chemicals business spend within AM. The position will partner with the business leadership to direct supplier qualification and development efforts and will be responsible for negotiating and directing the negotiation of procurement agreements.
Key Responsibilities :
Responsible for developing and implementing Category strategies for assigned commodity and spend.
Actively lead commodity / regional spend along with the supply base and internal relationships that come with the assigned segmentation.
Conduct supplier negotiations and contract execution
Monitor price / PPV / LE forecasting
Deliver to annual cost improvement targets
Development of industry expertise; conduct detailed supply market analysis and create category profiles.
Strategic Sourcing and supplier evaluation processes
Supports Research & Development activity and innovation stream
Utilize Total Cost model
RFP / RFQ process
Supports all Procurement Initiatives as assigned
Logistics & Import / export compliance
Candidate Qualifications :
Bachelors’ Degree is required.
Minimum 3 years experience in strategic procurement (contract negotiation in procurement)
Overall 5-6 years experience in procurement / supply chain area
Experience in vendor / supplier negotiations, supplier management & contracts
Experience in driving cost reductions
Experience in procurement processes (Purchase order issuance; setting lead times; payment terms)
English language verbal / written
Nice to have Qualifications :
Strong written and presentation communication skills
Strong negotiation and analytical skills required.
German language skills would be a bonus.
Experience in qualification and development of new suppliers.
Advanced Microsoft office knowledge (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
