Your role :
Responsible to ensure Corrosion Management is implemented in accordance with the approved framework and implementation strategy and plans in all Upstream Assets pipelines
Responsible to drive implementation of the Corrosion Management Plans (CMP) requirements by following the execution of all necessary measures (control and monitoring) according to a dedicated action plan elaborated based on CMP for each pipeline or group of pipelines as is considered for each pipeline
Contributes to the implementation of the strategy for Corrosion Management, provides support for gathering all information from contractors / field experts and ensuring proper support for solving all related issues
Determines the magnitude of the potential consequences to rank the risks accordingly for each pipeline corrosion related in order to prioritize the implementation of CM requirements
Responsible for the ongoing evaluation, gap analysis, action item development and improvement progress of the corrosion management system for all upstream production assets pipelines
Verifies that the proposed and existing corrosion control and monitoring measures are consistent with industry best practice evaluating the reliability of the corrosion control and monitoring technologies, including conservative assumptions for new technologies.
Supports ongoing pipelines projects and advises technically accordingly
Responsible to develop corrosion management plans for the existing operated pipelines (flow lines are excluded as long they are considered as belonging to facilities) or to ensure that all pipelines (or group of pipelines) have CMP’s and all required measures to control and monitor corrosion threats are implemented accordingly
Provides technical expertise and assists in problem-solving to the field-based corrosion supervisors and corrosion technicians for complex corrosion control and monitoring issues affecting the pipelines
Assists in preparing detailed engineering evaluations of corrosion mitigation processes in his / her area of responsibility to determine practical and cost effective means of protecting assets pipelines from corrosion.
Performs corrosion control failure analysis to determine root-cause, working in conjunction with company metallurgists and laboratory personnel, and develop remediation plans
Participates in internal audits and observe the compliance with all corrosion management related applicable policies and procedures
Your profile :
Education Petroleum Engineering or Metallurgical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferably with qualification in pipelines corrosion engineering.
Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience
Experience in managing all phases of corrosion control / monitoring and demonstrated continue responsibility implementing corrosion management programs in the oil and gas industry;
ability to make informed decisions involving pipeline remediation / repair, coating systems, budgets, and broad program initiatives for corrosion control
Strong knowledge of procedures and processes / best practices related to E&P field activities and regulatory requirements related to the job
The position requires a high level of analytical skills. Familiarity with root cause analysis for problem resolution techniques is a plus
Excellent command of English (written and spoken);strong technical report (verbal and writing skills)
Computer literacy : MS Office, internet software, SAP is a plus
Mobility and possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
