HR Business Partners ensure the alignment, development and execution of the People Strategy. This role is responsible for providing tactical HR consultative support to the business in order to drive key strategic HR initiatives and deliver best practice and operational excellence.

Your key tasks :

  • Translate people strategy into actionable plans
  • Support Senior Business Partners in designing and executing people strategy and people related initiatives
  • Interact with the business at a Senior Manager level and provide appropriate consultation on people and broader business challenges
  • Ensure that all HR policy and process activity is effectively delivered into the responsible business area(s)
  • Provide advice and intervention to the business on complex employee relations issues such as disciplinary, grievances (mainly cases or emerging trends when asked)
  • Communicate a clear, accurate understanding of HR analytics (e.g. global engagement survey, succession bench metrics, turnover, demographics) to the business and provides insights into how to use them to solve business requirements, deliver results and drive continuous HR improvement
  • Collaborate effectively across the HR community to ensure global strategies, policies and processes are effectively implemented and monitored
  • Balance business needs, company requirements, and protect the interests of the organization while advocating for employee interests, in service of creating a culture where employees and leaders reflect and live Micro Focus’s vision and objectives
  • Be an advocate for the wider function and leverage the regional HR Leadership, Functional Experts and HR Ops teams to meet strategic HR needs of the business
  • About you / your experience includes :

  • An undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Previous experience providing general HR advice, with the potential to grow and develop
  • Advanced degree (Masters or above) (preferred)
  • Chartered membership of HR professional group such as CIPD and SHRM (preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge and expertise in HR space including reward and talent management processes and principles
  • Holistic understanding of HR Business Partner function and key HR processes / policies that enable an effective and strategic people strategy
  • Strong people management and relationship building skills to influence key stakeholders and leadership
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports and briefs
  • Strong analytical skills and detailed oriented
  • Business curiosity, an appetite for continuous improvement and the desire to seek experiences beyond HR
  • Strong problem solver that is able to consult with business leaders to help them find lasting solutions to persistent and urgent issues
  • Advocate for working collaboratively across the HR community to strengthen the function’s reputation and its relationship with the business
  • Change management skills, with the ability to act as a change agent
  • Ability to coach and advise leadership to empower employees and builds high-performing teams
  • Demonstrable commitment to promotion of equality and diversity
  • Experience working with union populations (preferred)
  • Experience participating in large scale HR and organizational transformations (preferred)
