This position presents an exciting opportunity to build and enhance the systems that support the acquisition, management and delivery of research content on behalf of Sustainalytics’ ESG Products Team.

You will join a dynamic, multinational and strategically important Product Strategy and Development group whose responsibilities include implementation and maintenance of products and oversees the design, automation and delivery of our research to clients via our online platforms, API and data feeds.

You will be instrumental in the delivery of Sustainalytics’ research to customers through multiple technology delivery channels, designing efficient data flows that assure quality of the end product and contribution to cross-functional technology projects including creation and upgrade of research tools and internal / external reporting platforms.

You will engage with Product Managers, other Product Operations Managers and implementation partners across multiple ICT teams to develop and implement product quality plans and processes for multiple products.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders in the managing, designing or developing data products, data acquisition systems and data delivery systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create requirements for internal and external products and projects through engagement with technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Determine feasibility of initiatives with ICT implementation partners, including IT architect, and collaborate in solution design.
  • Ensure all necessary analysis completed and requirements documented for IT Requirements Readiness project gates in collaboration with Release Manager and other ICT stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical aspects of Operational readiness project gate
  • Coordinate product acceptance testing processes with Product Operations Quality team and participates in testing.
  • Act as PSD voice for design / enhancement / implementation of technical products and projects. (See Appendix for list of current initiatives for illustration.)
  • Reviews and tracks customer and internal feedback for product quality issues that relate to data acquisition, data flow and data delivery
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems reported by customers, partners or internally and collaborate with ICT partners to recommend and facilitate solutions.
  • Management of 1-2 senior associates
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical business analysis, technical product management, technical project management or similar roles.
  • Technical knowledge or experience appropriate for working with software development teams, database management teams, software architects, technical product managers / owners, release managers etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (examples : information technology, computer science, data science, software engineering)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong data skills and familiarity with tools : Excel, PowerBI, Tableau or similar.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Experience related to the application of ESG research in investment process is an asset.
  • Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values.
  • SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong business process / product / project management and execution skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Six Sigma Black or Green belt is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
  • Interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Work experience in culturally diverse environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and comfortable working with remote teams.
  • A genuine team player who can achieve objectives through close collaboration and coordination with others (including product management, project management, technology, data & content operations, client services).
