Fooji helps big brands run promotions online using our Fan Experiences Platform. We have promotions running on our platform from household names on a daily basis.

You will join our software development team, helping us build out our roadmap of new products and services.

We are looking for someone that is a solid all-rounder, and who is comfortable with working with Javascript both in the front-end and the backend.

You will be working in a fully remote team, but preferably you are in a timezone not too far off UTC, so that there is a decent overlap with the majority of the team who are based in Portugal.

You should have a good level of autonomy and have the ability to solve problems independently, because since we are a fully-remote team you might not always have help on hand right away.

But at the same time you should be good at communicating when you have a problem, so the team can help.

We have a very flat structure as a team, where everyone's input is equally valid, and we discourage people focusing on particular parts of the codebase : we want everyone to have a good general understanding of the platform.

Main requirements

You should have good experience of Javascript and a solid understanding of SQL such as being able to interpret an SQL query plan.

You should have been working as a full stack developer for a good few years.

We run everything in AWS so ideally you would have some experience there, but this can also be learned on the job. Additionally we use React + Redux on the front end so knowledge of that would also be a bonus.

Most of our newer services are built using the Serverless framework with AWS Lambda so again knowledge of that would be a plus.
