Department Description

The primary focus of the Education Sales Representatives is to become a trusted training advisor for Oracle's customers. This dynamic individual is responsible for developing pipeline and selling our solutions to both existing and new Oracle customers within a specific territory.
We offer an extensive portfolio of subscription based training offerings to assist customers along their training journey as they deploy and use Oracle's solutions.
As an Education Sales Specialist you will have experience of developing rapport over the telephone with customers and an understanding of selling complex training solutions. You must be able to demonstrate the following:
• experience of selling complex product or services solutions over the telephone to the IT sector
• understanding of the IT services market and future trends
• successful track record of closing new business with integrity
• desire to achieve results.

Order fulfillment and selling of products and services in high volume, low value and short cycle transactions using telephone sales techniques.

Detailed Description

As an Education Sales Representative you will sell products and services to an assigned geographic or national account base territory to achieve assigned objectives. Develops account penetration strategies, and closes business. Responsible for understanding Oracle’s product offerings and competitive issues. Identifies new business opportunities by creating and implementing territory campaigns with management assistance. Liaise with customer contacts for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identifying new opportunities, and selling Oracle products and services.

Job Requirements 

Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures. Works under close supervision. Seeks intervention from his/her manager on complex deals that fall outside of existing guidelines. Two or more years of IT sales experience. Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone with high level decision makers. Ability to work independently. Typically bachelor degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent.

Qualifications:
• Proven sales experience preferably in an IT or Education environment
• Proven experience working in an account management role

• Solid communication and presentation skills
• Strong sales and marketing skills: needs analysis, positioning, and business justification and closing
• High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment.
• Self-motivated to continuously expand personal professional knowledge.
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of IT education market is advantageous

The primary focus of a Telesales Representative is to sell solutions / services to existing Oracle customers and to prospect for new customers in the assigned territory or vertical.

As a Telesales Sales Representative you will sell products and services to an assigned geographic or national account base territory to achieve assigned objectives. Develops account penetration strategies, and closes business . Responsible for understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive issues. Identifies new business opportunities by creating and implementing territory campaigns with management assistance. Liaise with customer contacts for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identifying new opportunities, and selling Oracle products and services. Participates as a team member on sales teams including field sales, support and education sales and sales consulting.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Works under general supervision. Seeks intervention from his/her manager on complex deals that fall outside of existing guidelines. 3 years of relevant experience. Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone with high level decision makers. Ability to work independently. Typically bachelor degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent.
