We are looking for a SystemsImplementation Engineer (Java & .NET) to join our team. In this roleyou will be responsible for all project phases of turnkey software systemsbased on Thales’ software solutions in the fields of passport / ID manufacturing,personalization and document issuance, biometrics, automated fingerprintidentification, and image processing.
A week in the life of a Systems Implementation Engineer :
You willdevelop and enhance passport / ID manufacturing and personalization products.
You willmaintain and support existing passport / ID manufacturing / personalizationproducts and troubleshoot current production system issues.
You willdeploy, configure and fine-tune the solution on test / production environment(local and client site).
You willunderstand and adhere to design and coding procedures and standards.
You willcommunicate with the project manager and client in order to understand specificsystem requirements for the assigned projects.
You will designand complete installation and configuration of the selected software andhardware products by integrating solutions, verifying and testing the systemfunctionality and performance against the project requirements.
You willprovide system integration support and troubleshooting of the system.
You will performsystem acceptance testing with client.
You willdocument the design specifications, installation instructions, and other systemrelated information relevant to the project.
You will providesystem knowledge transfer and training to technical support engineers andclient’s system administrators.
You will monitorthe system operations to detect potential problems.
You will resolvesystem issues reported by client and ensure all reported technical issues areresolved.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
You must have abachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
To succeed in thisjob, you must have 5 years’ experience in software development, with a minimumof 2 years’ experience in java / .Net development.
You must be fluentin English (both written and oral communication).
You must beavailable for travel abroad mostly within the EMEA region (up to 30%).
Experience withJava Enterprise intermediate level
XML, Web services(REST, SOAP) advanced level
Experience with Hibernate / JPA- intermediate level
Experience withJDBC, SQL, Oracle - intermediate level
Experience withapplication servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, TomEE)- intermediate level
C# - intermediatelevel (Windows Forms, Web services)
Linux and Windowssystem administration - intermediate level
