Job Description

  • Be the Category internal advisor for Traditional Trade and Gas Stations channel / customers; develop customer / category strategy- Multi-category Occasion / Solutions based on Consumer / Shopper preferences.
  • Identify specific shopper / category opportunities by channel / retailer partner. Translate in-store shopper research findings into customer category development action plans.
  • Strengthen indispensable partnership with senior customer contacts by identifying key store, category & shopper risks & opportunities.

    Translate Shopper insights into growth opportunities through a deep knowledge of category purchase patterns & dynamics. Work with Shopper Insights Manager / Analyst to leverage, tailor and deliver outputs from shopper researches.

    Develop perfect store plans & strategies / customer according to POS / channel segmentation to achieve picture of success in modern trade & guide sales & channel development teams.

    Develop external / internal information strategy to ensure robust customer, category and shopper data to execute the plan as well as efficient & timely communication of trends / insights to all relevant stakeholders.

  • Develop compelling customer centric selling stories with specific focus on category vision development. Increase sales team selling with insights capability and support fact-based selling in order to drive multi-category sales growth and profitability, build and maintain effective long-term relationships with customers through objective insight development.
  • Lead process of building and developing tools / solutions for space management in top customers (assortment, planogram) that will differentiate PepsiCo from its competitors.
  • Specific focus on customer / channels category planning, range and space effectiveness.

  • Support Revenue Management Strategy based on Store / Customer Segments needs and PepsiCo s priorities.
  • Qualifications / Requirements

    Experience

    4- 5yrs of experience in related area (category development / management, sales, insight, commercial etc.). Full knowledge of all category management principles and fundamentals, ability to drive category growth through these levers (retailer experience to be considered as well)

    Experience in category management, sales and / or marketing and the delivery of long-term insight-led strategy and vision through to the POS.

    Significant experience of project management of complex, multi-stakeholder work-streams both internally and externally. Experience in strategic planning processes to deliver insight-led plans that create shopper, category, retailer and PepsiCo advantage (E.

    g. Business Planning / Joint Business Planning)

    Ability to generate category visions and strategy, through bringing complex data and insight together and managing cross functional inputs

    Knowledge of industry leading software & tools to vizualise & drive recommendations (Nielsen, EYC, JDA , virtual store)

    Ability to use Data to drive recommendations (Retail Panel / check-out, HH Panel,data sources to generate in-depth shopper, retail, category and consumer insights

    Skills

    Excellent speaker and story-teller, proactive, curious with strong presentation skills (in English as well)

    Good strategic thinker, with business acumen Ability to turn the complex into the simple, to cut through and focus on what really matters and tell simple story.

    Ability to overcome objections using combination of fact based evidence and influencing skills

    Proven influencing and perseverance skills to tailor recommendation to the needs of stakeholders and effectively engage them to obtain commitment and drive impact.

    Ability to set a compelling vision and motivate others to deliver and execute

    Very strong analytical thinking with proven ability to connect the dots between various data sources to deliver clear outlook scenarios along with implications for the business.

    Team player, proven ability to manage a matrix organization, able to build strong relationships with peers and senior management
