As counterpart of the central High-Performance Computers in modern vehicle architectures, Zone Controllers need to cover a wide range of scalability to realize their purpose in domain independent zonal management of vehicle functions for new server client vehicle EE-architectures.
It is a standardized data and services interface between I / O’s (sensors, actuators, and other peripheral devices) and the vehicle server / s.
The new smart power distribution capability of Zone Controllers enables additional cost saving potential in the vehicle wiring harness design.

As a system architect, you will be involved in various and challenging activities with interactions across the product lifecycle such as quotations, concept design validation with the customer, as well as feature refinement workshops with our internal development teams.

Analyze the system requirements and regional legal requirements.
Define the system architecture strategy in order to fulfill system requirements, functional safety, security and target costs.
Use Rhapsody and SysML methodologies to create system level diagrams to represent the system functionality, such as block diagrams, user diagrams, and activity flow
Design the system architecture in order to be aligned with the existing generic architectures (HW / SW platform)
Define internal and external interfaces for each system element.
Identify the critical use-cases for the system architecture.
Decompose the system into sub-systems (platform, modules, components), all the while establishing a bilateral traceability between system requirements and system architectural design.
Define the management rules for the hardware resources used by sub-systems (CPU, RAM, Flash memory).
Create strategies to achieve performance related requirements, as well as stability and robustness related ones.
Support the problem resolution process with in-depth analysis and debugging for root cause identification.
Provide technical guidance to all engineering disciplines
Work together with System Integration to ensure the whole product performs according to requirements
You can be a perfect match to our team if you :
are graduated in a relevant field (e.g. Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer science, Automatics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Medical Bioengineering);
have minimum 3 years’ experience in product design and development
good knowledge of Requirements and Architectural Engineering Tools (e.g. Doors, Rhapsody);
have good electronics knowledge;
have real time embedded systems knowledge;
Programming knowledge, any of the following : C, C++, C#, Java, Python;
have knowledge of Vehicle communication protocols (e.g. CAN, Ethernet, Flex Ray, LIN);
Methodical and structured approach;
Good writing, reading and speaking English skills;
Team player spirit combined with excellent communication skills;
