About the Role
Finastra’s Legal Team supports the business by providing proactive advice.
The team manages high-value software agreements, employment, litigation, open-source software and data protection across Finastra’s global portfolio.
You will work in a small and focused team.
Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Decision Ownership
The successful candidate will have good exposure to all of the following areas, with the expectation of developing specialism and taking ownership on selected deliverables :
Drafting and negotiation of a range of software-related agreements, mostly with other technology suppliers or service providers Proprietary software licences SAAS agreements PAAS agreements OEM and other distribution agreements Services and subcontractor contracts
Data protection / GDPR compliance
Procurement contracts for a variety of goods and services
Skills and Competencies
Qualified Solicitor - having a Law Degree and Jurist background
At least 3 years PQE - experience as Legal Counselling / Jurist
Experience working or advising in the software industry in an international company
Proactive and thrive on taking responsibility of a diverse range of matters
Excellent commercial and business awareness
