About the team

Worldpay’s eComm Engineering branch specialises in delivering online payment services to our customers and are looking for Engineers to join our team and take our systems to the next level.

Operating within a collaborative SAFe environment, we strive to deliver effective solutions for our customers using our evolving payment platform.

We are looking for proactive team players who would like to work in the Fintech sector, with likeminded individuals that want to develop robust and scalable applications for the growing market.

What you will be doing

  • Provide the internal voice of the customer for the team and work with Product Managers, Customers (as well as other Product Owners) to constantly understand and communicate their needs and participate in the validation of the delivered Features
  • PO is heavily involved with Product Management in program backlog refinement and preparation for Product Increment (PI) planning
  • Deliver (individually and across sub team) high-quality and timely functional and Non-Functional business requirements
  • By partnering with System Architect / Engineering and other stakeholders, the PO has the primary responsibility for building, editing, and maintaining the team backlog.
  • Reviews and reprioritizes the backlog as part of the prep work for Iteration Planning, including coordination of dependencies with other Product Owners.
  • Collaborate with their team to elaborate details of user stories with acceptance criteria and acceptance tests.
  • Validation that user stories meet acceptance criteria and have the appropriate, persistent acceptance tests. The PO also assures a level of quality, focusing primarily on fitness for use.
  • Collaborate with System Architect / Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the critical Non-Functional requirements (NFRs) as well as technical debt user stories.
  • Serve an essential role in the team demo, reviewing and accepting stories. Additionally, POs participate in the Iteration Retrospective, where the teams gather to improve their processes and are active in the Agile Release Train’s (ART’s) Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshop.
  • Coordinates dependencies with other Product Owners through participation in the weekly PO Sync meetings
  • Coach Agile team in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
  • Collaborating with the Agile team on a day to day basis (work assignment, tracking, tailored support)
  • What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders with various requirements
  • Three or more years of experience working with Agile delivery teams
  • Three or more years of experience as a Business Analyst / Product Owner, preferably in SAFe, Scrum or Kanban
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organizations
  • Fluent English (written / verbal)

  • Uses understanding of customer priorities and economics to focus on what’s important
  • Identifies how to deliver the biggest customer value on investment
  • Working with the Dev team to create user stories that encapsulate the needs of the user
  • Understand where and how things happen
  • Develops and nurtures food working relations across engineering, product, operations and commercial teams.
  • Builds personal internal network
  • Operates seamlessly across organisational boundaries
  • Works with other Pos to create environment that encourages knowledge sharing and group discussions
  • Travel to other Worldpay locations e.g. UK-London
