Architecture & Design
Responsible for design and architecture of the project
Responsible for creating the non-functional requirements based on the business needs
For package implementations, perform the gap analysis between business requirements and the package features and design the configuration, customizations, extensions, interfaces required to meet the requirements
Development & Support
Responsible for team consistently delivering high-quality code
Performs code reviews
Establishes steps of doneness for various types of activities that are done during the SDLC
For package implementations, helps create best practices / approaches to be leveraged by the team
Drives setup of the different environments (development, UAT, production, etc.)
Ensures the technical solution meets performance, reliability and requirements
Troubleshoot complex technical issues on projects
Planning, Tracking & Estimation
Partners with Project Manager to create the estimate and plans for the projects and decompose them among the various tracks
Partners with Project Manager to establish Scope Management Process
Evaluates the LOE, complexity and risks associated in adding scope
Partner with Project Manager to lead projects and / or small to medium sized team
Resolve issues and dependencies within the team
Review the key objectives of projects and clarify the linkage of tasks to the overall objectives
Actively participate in, and assists with, company events such as hiring, training and internal initiatives
Contributes to knowledge sharing sessions
Provides mentoring on best practices
Represent the project in customer-facing technical communications
Identifies tradeoffs involved with implementing a solution and communicates them to the respective stakeholders.
Raises and drives resolution for all technical design and implementation issues
Actively identifies, manages, quantifies and escalates risks to stakeholders
Processes & Documentation
Is well versed in relevant methodology, processes, tools and technology standards and can effectively chose relevant parts needed for the project
Partners with the Project Manager to manage the process and monitor work quality
Is well versed with different ways to document requirements, design and architecture and can chose the right artifacts needed during a project
Defines and assesses completeness and quality of documents / artifacts
