We are looking for an experienced Senior HSE Engineer. You will be responsible for providing HSE support for HoneywellRomania, partnering with cross-functional facility teams andleaders.
You will provide support to operational teams and conduct varioussafety-related activities to enable regulatory and company requirements.
Youwill interact with employees and local leaders / team leaders to coachsafety-related behaviors. You will be a member of larger corporate Health,Safety, and Environmental function.
Split of activities is60% for Elster Romania office and 40% for Industrial Hygiene and small sitessupport
Senior HSE Engineer responsibilities
Develop and administer internal HSE activities on the office site (in Romanian : SIPP) : risk assessments, trainings, occupational health, emergency response
Coordinate 2 external HSE contractors (in Romanian SEPP), one per each location
Regular reporting to local agencies and Honeywell
Work closely with other HSE functions in the building (Honeywell entity).
Help driving strategic directions, oversight and guidance for HSE at assigned locations. This includes all level I & II standards, as well as HSE regulatory compliance for safety, loss prevention, industrial hygiene, health, and environment.
Facilitate root cause analysis of significant injuries and incidents. Work with teams and conduct investigations into incidents involving any violations, and prepare appropriate written reports.
Be a leader of Industrial Hygiene Subject Matter Expert Committee
Collaborate with Industrial Hygiene PoC from different regions to monitor, evaluate, current hygiene programs and regulatory requirements to better control occupational health hazards
Provide expertise and guidance regarding occupational health issues
Work on industrial hygiene strategies including necessary documentation and related tools
Cooperate with 3rd parties in providing of Industrial Hygiene services (monitoring, sampling, consultations)
Conduct regular visits into assigned sites and provide professional advice and assistance to them
Master degree in HSE / Industrial Hygiene
Extensive experience in HSE, Occupational Health or Industrial Hygiene.
Knowledge of HSE Management system, familiar with HSE Regulations, Crisis & Emergency Response Management.
Project Managements skills
Availability for travel 25%.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability & desire to implement change across multiple levels
Understanding of HSE regulatory requirements and professional best practices.
