To support our initiatives in Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA), we are looking to enlarge our Pricing & Contract Team in Cluj.

The ideal candidate is a talented, curious and experienced professional who excels in building a trustworthy business partnership with our EMEA Sales organization to enforce Steelcase’s profitable growth strategy.

You will be responsible to deploy insightful, value pricing strategies that drive the success of our business. It will encompass :

  • Pricing recommendations that optimize profitability
  • Support deal pricing along customer segmentation and market dynamics
  • Obtain, structure & utilize competitive intelligence
  • Exploit data analytics to drive / facilitate business decision
  • Ensure enforcement of yearly price adjustment
  • Build added-value partnership with sales professionals.
  • This position will give you high exposure to various departments and people on different hierarchy levels within the company.

    To be successful in this role you have to demonstrate leadership, learning agility, outstanding communications skills, strong data analytics abilities and proven customer experience expertise.

  • Offer strategies in a timely and effective manner by developing smart and data driven pricing recommendations and present them to senior management
  • Accountable for pricing compliance with Steelcase EMEA governance rules involving the relevant stakeholders
  • Work with product & regional managers to determine optimal market and distributor net price levels on goods and services for both project and continuing business
  • Monitor customer & dealer volume / discount evolution and provide feedback on customers' willingness to pay, discount levels and patterns
  • Coach sales in applying value pricing / engineering & support dedicated international contract negotiations
  • Set priorities, qualify the project pipeline with the leadership
  • Lead pricing projects with international roll-out in EMEA markets
  • Promote a proactive culture approach on major opportunities to anticipate pricing strategy, identify needs and involve the appropriate stakeholders
  • Leverage project management skills on both transactional activities and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Understand Steelcase sales process, insight led selling approach and translate it in your pricing recommendations
  • Actively participate in special projects that require pricing input as well conduct ad-hoc analysis as requested

  • Fluent in English, French would be a plus
  • Education / Experience

  • Master’s Degree in business, Mathematics, Finance, Marketing or a related field
  • Strong analytical background and finance or business intelligence working experience
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in pricing, consultancy or purchasing
  • Experience in B2B environment in a multi-channel sales approach
  • Proven experience in a sales business partner role
  • Project management and process improvement experience
  • High exposure to consulting or multinational environment
