About the team
Under the direct supervision of the Core Banking Operations Manager, performs daily IT Operations, DB Administration, Operating System level scripting and provides support for other departments within the FIS organization as part of the Profile / GT.
M Operations Group. The position must also support client requests in an operational nature which includes custom design and solutions.
What you will be doing
Installs and maintains FIS products both in Production and non-Prod scenarios.
Is responsible for development, primarily in the form of utilities, shell scripts and general Operating System support.
Helps clients design and implement operational procedures and automation utilities to support Profile / GT.M instances and other Banking applications.
Supports internal GT.M database deployment tasks and resolves problems as they arise.
Helps document installation and maintenance procedures for FIS products to be distributed to clients
Participates in client operational audits and documents the findings in standardized reports. If needed manages any follow up work that may result from the audit activities.
Is part of the Operations Group supporting the 24 / 7 Help Desk service.
Is responsible for proactively documenting all work and workflows; regularly transfers knowledge to peers and supervisors.
Works on the improvement of design and automation of the CI / CD pipeline.
Performs other duties as required.
What you bring :
Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner
At least 2 years of experience in the administration of UNIX and Linux systems. IBM AIX and Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience is desired.
Solid knowledge of Systems Administration and IT Operations best practices.
Programming experience in UNIX shells (Bash and KornShell desired).
Deep Security awareness and consistent understanding of the impact in the Fintech market.
Ability to solve problems using learned techniques and tools.
Skill and passion for operational excellence.
The ability to communicate ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner.
The capacity to work with minimal supervision and be proactive in style.
A high degree of attention to quality, detail, correctness and deadlines.
The will to succeed in an agile work environment where cross-functional teams work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded.

Added bonus if you have :
Experience in Core Banking IT Operations is a plus.
Hands-on knowledge of FIS Profile and GT.M is a plus.
Working experience in DevOPS and Agile environments is a plus.
