Stationery Junior Trade Marketing Manager implements the trade marketing strategy of the region, with a territory of 5 countries, for the Stationery Category, working closely with the Stationery Marketing Manager CSE.
Stationery Junior Trade Marketing Manager reports directly to the Stationery Marketing Manager CSE.
Main Responsibilities / Tasks
Implements trade marketing competencies with respect to enhancing demand at the trade by engaging in a spectrum of activities which are mainly below the line (BTL) both in Modern Trade but also in Stationers and Office Suppliers
Builds and manages dedicated BTL activities for Stationery Category, working closely with the Stationery Marketing Manager CSE, aimed at developing engagement both with trade and with consumers within the store environment
Develops & implements Trade Marketing tools & deliverables like POSMs, catalogues, toolkits
Works very closely with the Stationery Marketing Manager CSE and provides support for defining the right product assortment & building price list for each country of responsibility
Supports Stationery Marketing Manager CSE into building yearly promo plans for Stationery Category for all countries of responsibility, at channel level with focus on trade and also on end consumer as well as its effectiveness measurement (Modern Trade, Stationers and Office Suppliers)
Promotional proposals for the different distribution channels (Modern Trade, Stationers & Office Suppliers) finding the best solution to maximize the promotion effect, taking into consideration profitability analysis and simulations
Implementations preparing all necessary information for the team, making sure it contains clear, accurate and complete data, done in due time
Promotional follow-up intermediary evaluations done based on both sell-in and sell-out data, collecting and processing qualitative and quantitative feedback from colleagues, while also recommending improvements, if the case
Promo effectiveness analysis
Supports Stationery Marketing Manager CSE into implementing the plans to address the Authorities (Ministry of Education) and Teachers (School and Kindergartens) in order to enhance BIC brand as a key pillar in children’s development via its Stationery portfolio
Drives the elaboration of a strong market analysis, through market and consumer research, internal and customer data, competitive analysis, consumer insights
Participates regularly to market / field visits, keeping a detailed and up to date understanding of the real market conditions
Collects directly from Sales or / and other sources, information concerning product info, competition, promotions, sell-
out, shelf-presence and other issues, on a regular basis
Defends the profitability of Stationery Category and ensures a proper usage of post activities’ measurements, including their financial impact
Tracks, monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns and also ensuring that findings and best practices are shared among countries
Actively participates and provides on time support to Stationery Marketing Manager CSE in the regular processes , such as forecasting, budgeting, new product launches
Provides support to Stationery Marketing Manager CSE for the management and evaluation of promoters and merchandisers activations in the local markets of responsibility
Monitors the brand support budget and POSM budget for the Stationery Category, working closely with the Stationery Marketing Manager CSE
Supports Marketing Director CSE and Stationery Marketing Manager CSE with local Stationery knowledge ; provides a good understanding of local needs and insights
Provides Category Training on Stationery for Sales Team, new employees and distributor teams
Supports Stationery Marketing Manager CSE into exploring new markets / segments, according to the local marketing trends
