Preferred Qualifications

Main Objective of the job:

Ensures that payroll systems implementations, automations and enhancements are adequately tested for functionality, accuracy and optimal user experience.Assists with systems team tasks to ensure compliance with the organizations policies and objectives.

Responsibilities:

(a)Develop a solid understanding of all payroll systems including time and attendance applications, in-house payroll applications, HR applications, Payroll APEX solutions, CRM solutions, including understanding the payroll processes.

(b)Performs all unit testing and UAT in accordance with testing matrices for new payroll system implementations or system enhancements.

(c)Reviews user design for optimum end user experience.

(d)Perform end to end or regression testing for all payroll/HR systems, APEX and CRM upgrades.

(e)Assists with creating or improving testing matrices.

(f)Coordinates testing with other lines of business impacted.

(g)Logs and monitors all bugs relating to systems being tested, working closely with developers.

(h)Appropriately identifies and escalates P1 issues found during testing.

(i)Participates in project conference calls in a professional manner.

(j)Effectively communicates project testing progress to project team and escalates issues in a timely manner.

(k)Ensures deadlines are being met by monitoring issue resolution and progression of testing.

(l)Works with regional payroll specialists to gain knowledge of country processes and to assess testing results.

(m)Create and update user guides for all payroll systems.

(n)Administers the banking systems user access and vendor system access.

(o)Administers access to file sharing applications for all internal and external parties for sharing confidential information.

(p)Assists with the global audit of the banking systems/HR Systems/Payroll systems on a quarterly basis.

(q)Understands, acknowledges and operates within the department policies and procedures.

(r)Undertake other tasks attributed by the direct manager in line with the departmental guidelines.

Abilities and Qualifications of the Business Analyst – Payroll Systems :

·Possessing an undergraduate degree in any discipline, preferably in finance or related fields;

·Good fluency in English;

·Excellent excel skills;

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

·Ability to maintain professionalism under all circumstances;

·Ability to create and maintain strong professional relationships;

·Organized and extremely detail – oriented;

·Result driven and ability to solve problems;

·Ability to prioritize and handle many requests, operating under tight deadlines and in a rapidly changing environment;

·Good team player;

·Must have sound judgement and business acumen;

·Must be able to work independently;

·Possess strong analytical and organizational skills;

·Flexibility in work schedule, including availability during early mornings and evenings;

·Ability to maintain the pace of deliveries despite tight deadlines and demanding environment.

Experience:

··Minimum 2-3 years of total experience

··Experience with system implementations

··Experience with Payroll/HR Applications is a plus

··Knowledge of testing process methods and concepts is a plus

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Responsible for assisting in the preparation, distribution, and accounting of employee payroll.

Serves as a liaison to employees and third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies. Audits employee pay records and reconciles totals by departmental cost center, location, etc. Participates in payroll system upgrades and implementations. Works directly with employees to resolve outstanding payroll inquiries. Ensures FLSA status is correctly captured in the system per employee. Interprets pay policies, e.g. vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, governmental regulations, withholding exemptions, etc. and ensures amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to various accounts correctly. Ensures company compliance with federal and state payroll standards. In house payroll expert, staying current with changes in the law. May assist with audits such as internal, state, federal, etc. for correctly classifying and paying employees. May prepare tax reports and related documentation. Documents payroll processes and procedures. May train other payroll staff. May be back up to those who perform specialized tasks or activities.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures.
