Worldpay’s New Acquiring Platform (NAP) Engineering division specializes in delivering payment processing services to our customers and are looking for Engineers to join our team and take our systems to the next level.
NAP is unique in the world and puts us firmly beyond what the competition can deliver. Operating within a collaborative Agile environment, we strive to deliver effective solutions for our customers using our evolving payment platform.
What you will be doing
Plan and manage the generation of all test cases
Work alongside the Automation Testers to progress automation backlog items
Plan, create and execute automated tests to enhance the existing test suite using Selenium
Convert existing manual test scripts / cases to executable automated tests
Support and maintain test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features or bug fixes
Plan own workload and scope / requirements
Analyse functional and technical specifications and user stories to derive and agree test cases and scenarios
Diligently follow test plans and investigate issues encountered
Demonstrate knowledge and practical experience of test tools and industry standard best practice
Identify issues and risks relating to workload, escalate these appropriately and provide suggested mitigating actions
Prepare input test data and expected results
Review own test conditions, test scripts / user stories, input test data, and expected results for all test phases
Effectively prepare regression, ad hoc and re-tests as required
Execute tests thoroughly to ensure software quality including running automated tests
Identify faults / defects
Work with the project teams to resolve any issues in a timely manner
Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives and enhancements to current procedures including recommending quality improvements
For Agile deliveries, contribute to daily scrums, sprint reviews and retrospectives
What you bring
Degree level education
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Automation tester
Solid ability to code and develop in Java
Knowledge of Cucumber and / or Selenium
Knowledge of JUnit / Mockito / TestNG
Solid experience in all aspects of functional and non-functional testing
Practical experience of working with the Agile methodology
Experience with different bug tracking systems like JIRA, HP ALM, others
Excellent knowledge of software testing procedures and be skilled in test planning, test estimation, prioritisation and risk-based testing
Ability to develop automation frameworks
Ability to develop and code in Java
The ability to write and implement automation scripts (Selenium)
Exposure to testing APIs / understanding of RESTful services
